Why are your photographs licensed for "personal use only"?

Most of those that buy our pictures are buying them for themself. Our downloadable images are immediately available with the "personal use" license. If you'd like to use an image for another reason, contact us - we'll work it out!

What type of equipment do you use?

For those of you that are technically minded, we're currently shooting with a Nikon D300. We've got a variety of lenses, but the sweet baby of the group is a 17-55 f2.8. We shoot in RAW mode and take the images into Adobe Lightroom 2.0 which helps us get large quantities of images ready quickly; Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended lets us edit pixels when we have to. The Adobe Master Collection lets us move between photography, videography and other graphic arts with Flash, Dreamweaver and After Effects.

This all runs on a MacBook Pro that is set up to run both Tiger and Windows Vista - and most of our tools are available to us on both sides of the box.

My picture download link didn't work! What do I do?

Contact us immediately! Very rarely, something doesn't get linked on the back end. If this happens to you, we'll fix it as fast as we can so you can enjoy your new picture.

Are you available to photograph my event? What geographic area do you cover?

We are based in Las Vegas, so our typical area of service is Southern Nevada. Travel outside of this area is a possibility, so let's discuss your situation. If you need us on location in another state for a week, we are probably not your best option. However, if your timing is flexible there is a good chance we can schedule it in. Let's talk - e-mail us at info@lautenbachphotography.com.

Are your photographs high enough resolution to print?

Absolutely! The "hi-res" image that you download is always provided at the maximum resolution. Often, this is a full 4,288 x 2,848 - that's over 12 mega pixels. Sometimes, we crop the images to provide just the right look. In these cases, the pixel dimensions are smaller, but you'll get each and every available pixel when you purchase one of our high resolution images. The medium resolution images are great for computer viewing; the web sized images work well on web sites such as MySpace or other similar sites.

If this is a "part time" business, what do you do full time?

Ha! Easy one - I work. Seriously, though, I keep these two worlds separate. Let's just say that I am an executive with a Fortune 50 company and am lucky enough to be based in Las Vegas (as opposed to the cold, cold north tundra where my company is based). If you're really interested, Google is your friend (hint: I'm not the doctor...)
